Junior Contract Engineer

Berg Propulsion is a leading player in marine propulsion, driving the development toward more sustainable and energy-efficient shipping. We design and manufacture ship propellers and control systems for commercial and technically demanding applications worldwide. We are currently on an exciting growth journey and are looking for a Junior Contract Engineer who wants to manage projects from contract signing through to delivery and commissioning—while contributing to high-quality solutions in propellers, thrusters, and manoeuvring systems.
You will be a key part of our international team, working at the interface between sales, production, suppliers and customers. The role combines technical responsibility with project management and collaboration—offering excellent opportunities to grow in a broad and exciting position.
Key responsibilities
Review and manage contracts and agreements
Understand, interpret and approve technical drawings and specifications
Identify potential risks or issues
Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers, ensuring that their needs and questions are handled efficiently
Manage orders in accordance with scope of supply, delivery schedules and contractual terms
Collaborate closely with sales and production to ensure successful contract execution
About you
Experience
Practical experience from projects or technical roles, such as thesis work, trainee programs or summer jobs
Experience with customer interaction or internal project work is considered an advantage
Interest in taking ownership of projects and driving them from start to delivery
Approximately 3–5 years of professional experience
Education
MSc or BSc in Engineering, for example Mechanical Engineering, Hydrodynamics or a related field
Recent graduates and candidates with a few years of experience are welcome to apply
Knowledge
Basic understanding of technical systems, drawings and project processes
Knowledge of project and order management, documentation and follow-up
Interest in the marine industry and technological development

Other Requirements
Fluency in English, both spoken and written
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work from our office/factory at Öckerö and Hönö
Willingness to travel for work for example to customers and shipyards
